Medical Update

My MRI on Tuesday showed that my tumor continues to grow at a steady rate, so the doctors at NIH have stopped the treatment. There are no other trials at NIH that would be beneficial to me, so I will no longer be able to be treated there. The doctors are searching for any clinical trials in the country that they believe might be able to help, but there are none that they know of at this time.

The last option is to be treated every two weeks with an intravenous drug called "Avastin" which generally stops tumor growth for a few months, but there are no other options after Avastin.

Please keep me in your prayers in this spiritually difficult time, that God will make His Will known to me and give me the strength to accept it.

You may want to look at http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ to see if there are available options for someone with your type of tumor. You can search a number of ways on that site, including by disease type.

I hope you will find some help, and I pray that whatever happens, you will find God's peace and strength sustain you.

God bless you.

Dear Philip You have been so much in my mind over these last few weeks of silence.

We in the UK are just welcoming our Holy Father to our shores this morning and I will add my prayers for you to those that I say for his Holiness' health and strength.

As a secular Carmelite, I shall give you words from Teresa of Avila, "What does it matter if we pray for great things - we are asking it of One who is all-powerful".

As a mother I think I know what your family are going through at this time and my prayers are with them also.

With love and many, many prayers that His Holy Will be done

God bless you my dear,

Pam Murray OCDS

Oh, boy! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Yesterday was the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows in the new calendar - I meditated on that before Mass started, and as an expectant mother I wondered, how can that be? How can Mary have had the courage to not only passively watch her Son be crucified, but to actively surrender to God's will in the matter? I was really stumped for most of Mass, and sort of tuning out for the French homily, I decided, she must have known He would rise again. That has to be our hope, doesn't it? How else can you reconcile her human love for Him with her piety? So may God grant you the joy and peace of Mary in echoing her fiat, confident in the resurrection of the just if it is ultimately God's will that you share in Christ's suffering sooner than we'd all hoped.

Philip,
We continue to pray for you and your family. We are praying for God to give you strength and peace as you face this latest development.

I had told your Dad that I had seen an article about brain tumors in The New York Times in late May. I want to say it was on May 30 or 31, 2010. If it was not then, it was around June 7-12. It told of some experimental drugs that were being tried in Europe with some degree of success. Maybe you could research for that article and see if your doctors could find anything about those trials.

We love you and hope that they will find something else for you to try.
Love, Cyndy, Billy, Chris and Justin Davis

"Hear and let it penetrate into your heart, my dear little son; let nothing discourage you, nothing depress you. Let nothing alter your heart or your countenance. Also, do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else that you need?" (Words of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Juan Diego)

I'm a seminarian for the Diocese of Toledo, and I just want to say that your whole ordeal is inspiring. While, I'm sure you'd deny it, your updates exhibit much divine charity and trust in the Lord despite all that you're going through.

And while I'll be sure to pray for a miraculous recovery, and ask your brothers to join in, have you asked your bishop if he could petition Rome for a dispensation for early ordination (given the circumstances)?

May God bless you and heal you!

Someone else here put the website link but here is extra information they posted on AQ Sept18, in the combox:
"It appears that treatment has come to a halt for him. Please pass this along to him as an alternative cancer treatment for brain tumors which has been successful for many patients. He can contact: Dr. Burzynski at the Bursynski Research Labs, 12707 Trinity Dr., Stafford, TX. 281-240-5227. At least he can find out what other alternatives might be available to him."

Dear Philip:

My father died of cancer in 2001 more due to the chemotherapy (which put him in intensive care for 4 months) than the cancer. But he was so weakened by the experience, that he died 4 months later. Since his death, I have had a particular passion investigating cancer cures that don't kill the patient as part of the "cure."

To that end, my brother, Fr. Michael Diemer, and I found 10 cancer cures that work, many which are still available today. And so I present to you a cure that I wish we could have presented to my father: Dr. Tulio Simoncini.

Dr. Tulio Simoncini, an oncologist from Italy, developed a protocol for curing cancers in the body. His method cures all known cancers except bone and testicular. He has an average 90% cure rate. His cancer protocol is known as the Simoncini Protocol. The cure is amazingly simple, extremely inexpensive, has zero side-effects, and is highly effective.

Here is Dr. Simoncini's contact information:
Dr. Tulio Simoncini, MD, Oncology
Tel: 0039-335-294480
e-mail: t.simoncini@alice.it
www.CancerFungus.com

Here's an interview with Doug Kaufmann that you can find on the web site, Know the Cause, where Dr. Simoncini actually shows what his protocol can do, how quickly it cures cancer, and a high-level overview of his discovery and treatment:
http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/video-dk-1.html.

I also have videos of Dr. Simoncini's cures, his book (outlining his discovery, knowledge, and protocol), testimonies from others who have been cured by his protocol, and a sad tale of how the medical community has treated him since his discovery (his cure he doesn't demand chemotherapy).

Perhaps you would be willing to entertain this protocol?

I noticed this article on Washington University School of Medicine website today regarding "..glioblastoma, the most common type of primary brain tumor:"

http://news.wustl.edu/news/Pages/21057.aspx

Scientists at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have discovered a new drug target that could improve the effectiveness of radiation for hard-to-treat cancers.

The finding, published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, focuses on the role of the enzyme cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2). This enzyme promotes development and functioning of blood vessel networks that feed malignant tumors, enabling them to overcome the effects of radiation.
.....etc.

Philip. I will pray to St. Peregrine and to Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, whom I have an autograph of, for your complete and unconditional healing. Don't give up. I've never faced anything like this in my life, so I really don't understand what you are going through. I hope that Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Peregrine, and Archbishop Sheen will intervene for you, and hear the prayers of the many people praying for you. Jesus cannot ignore any of Our Lady's requests, so I am praying to Our Lady of Lourdes, and I offer up a present suffering that I have, for your complete and unconditional healing.
