Good news came from my last visit to Johns Hopkins. After reviewing my MRI scans, the group of oncologists, surgeons, and radiologists agreed that the tumor is stable and has not grown since December (since the end of the novena to the Immaculate Conception, perhaps?). I am to continue the current treatment (daily oral chemotherapy) in hopes that it will keep the tumor at bay for many years.I have already long outlived the prognosis for this incurable tumor, and I thank the great medical staff at Johns Hopkins, as well as all who have been praying for me!

Philip, This is wonderful news, glad you share with us. We are in Greenville, NC and both Catholic schools here have "adopted' you in prayer. My daughter in the new high school, John Paul II told me she adds your name to their morning prayers before classes begin.

Philip,I am not Catholic, but there is so much I love about the Catholic faith. It has brought me closer to God.I love reading about the saints.Reading your blog has so inspired me.I know God is allowing you to inspire so many others.I am so happy for you on your report. You are in my prayers.God bless you.
Philip,
I am in the RCIA at St. Catherine's in Wake Forest, and I have heard many things about you since starting the program. My daughter attends school there as well, so I have also seen you around on occasion.
I just wanted to tell you how much of an inspiration you are. You teach more people than you know about how to truly have faith. We pray for you specifically at every one of our petitions, and I know there are countless others out there keeping you in their thoughts and prayers as well.
As a "newcomer" to the church, I want to thank you personally for being a such model of faith. In RCIA, sometimes it is difficult to let go of all of our questions and just have faith in God. You show us all how to do that.
God bless.
That is wonderful news, Philip! God has more in store for you to fulfill on His behalf. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
