In October of 2008, after serving three years as a Naval Officer, I was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. This blog chronicles my pilgrimage through life and towards the Roman Catholic priesthood.

Also, I do have an intention I would love for you to give to Our Lady. My son Kevin (16 years old) has a severe heart condition. He has wanted to be a priest his entire life. Please pray that he receives the strength he needs to accomplish the work God is leading him to do and if it is God's will, to heal him.

Ahhh you're back in Lourdes again, i want to be there too!!! Have been there August 2010 and that was such a wonderful time i had there and i am sure i will go to Lourdes again one day!

Prayer Request: I pray that the meeting this coming Friday with Social Services to determine where my niece will live for the next year goes well and that all of the parties, the abused and the abusers receive the healing that only Our Lord Jesus Christ can give.

Philip, please pray for an apostolate that God is asking me to carry out for the young women of my diocese who are discerning religious/consecrated life. I am having a great deal of trouble finding competent spiritual directors to help guide them into their vocation... Also, many of the young women are encountering a lot of opposition from family/friends and are in danger of abandoning their discernment due to discouragement. Pray that I could be the sort of example they need who could help inspire them to follow God's will with courage and abandon.
